Picture this: it was a bright and sunny Saturday evening , and the vibe was electric with excitement. We had a pre-wedding photoshoot planned with the bride and groom to be, and they brought their entire entourage along for the ride. We had planned for a two-hour shoot, but boy, it was so much more than that!

We were in a swanky gated community near a gorgeous pond area, and the bride had been getting inspired by a wedding series on Netflix. She had all these amazing ideas she wanted to bring to life using – coloured powder, leaf blowers, smoke bombs, and even a hose! We had our hands full, but we planned everything out to make sure we didn’t miss a beat.

Once the shoot kicked off, it was a total riot. The whole family was dressed in white, and the little ones were running around with the coloured powder causing complete chaos. We were snapping pics and recording videos left, right, and center – it was like a tornado of creativity and energy!

Then came the smoke bombs – the couple wanted to add some spice to their photos, and boy, did they ever! We had to move quickly to get the shots we needed before the smoke cleared, but we got some epic pics, let me tell you.

Actually, the leaf blower idea wasn’t ours to begin with! We had initially planned to do a traditional dress toss, but the bride had a different idea in mind. She had seen some photos online where a leaf blower was used to create a flowy effect with the dress, and she was eager to try it out.

We were a bit hesitant at first – after all, we didn’t want anything to go wrong or anyone to get hurt. But the bride was insistent and even offered to bring her brother’s leaf blower along for the shoot. We discussed it further and agreed to give it a try, with the understanding that safety would always come first.

The leaf blower ended up being a huge hit. It created this beautiful, flowy effect with the dress that we couldn’t have achieved with a traditional dress toss. And the best part was that the bride and groom were having a blast with it. They were laughing and twirling, and the photos we captured were simply stunning.

It just goes to show that sometimes, the best ideas come from our clients themselves. We’re always open to suggestions and willing to try new things, as long as it’s safe and within reason. And in this case, the bride’s insistence on using the leaf blower ended up being a stroke of genius. We were able to capture some truly amazing shots that the couple will cherish forever.

And just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, we decided to head over to the pond for some more pics.

The pond where we were shooting was truly picturesque, with its tranquil waters and lush green surroundings. But what really took our breath away were the white birds perched in the trees, watching us curiously as we went about our business.

As the shoot was winding down, we noticed that the sprinklers in the pond had been turned on. We had already taken some beautiful shots by the pond, but we couldn’t resist the opportunity to capture some more with the added element of water.

We asked the couple to get as close to the water as they felt comfortable, and we started snapping away. The sprinklers were creating this lovely mist that added an ethereal quality to the shots, and the couple looked absolutely stunning in their elegant outfits.

Just when we thought the pre-wedding photoshoot was over, the bride and groom had one more idea up their sleeves – the rain shot. They wanted to capture the romantic moment of being caught in a sudden downpour, with the help of a hose and a sprinkler nozzle.

We quickly set up the hose and sprinkler nozzle and asked the couple to pose under a transparent umbrella. With the right camera settings and pose, we were able to create the illusion of rain falling all around them. It was a bit of a challenge to get the shot just right, but with some tweaking and adjusting, we finally nailed it.

The final result was absolutely stunning. The couple looked like they were lost in their own world, surrounded by the magic of the rain. The transparent umbrella added a touch of whimsy to the shot, and the mist created by the sprinkler nozzle added just the right amount of drama.

And with that, the pre-wedding photoshoot was officially a wrap. We were exhausted but exhilarated, having captured so many amazing moments throughout the day. It was clear that the bride and groom and their families had put a lot of thought and effort into the shoot, and we were so happy to have been a part of it.

This just goes to show that with a little bit of creativity and planning, anything is possible. The rain shot was the perfect way to end the shoot, and we know that the couple will treasure these pictures for years to come. It was an unforgettable day filled with amazing people, amazing ideas, and lots of laughter and joy.
